The following statement was provided to The New York Times on Wednesday, May 25th and is being issued on the media wire as a matter of public record and clarification. STATEMENT In today’s article, “Corcoran Gallery's President Resigns in Dispute Over Proposed Expansion,” the Times noted that the Corcoran Gallery of Art has received $30 million in pledges from former AOL executives Barry Schuler and Robert W. Pittman. Mr. Pittman has generously fulfilled his pledge to the Corcoran.
