Wednesday, May 25th and is being issued on the media wire as a
matter of public record and clarification.
STATEMENT
In today’s article, “Corcoran
Gallery's President Resigns in Dispute Over Proposed Expansion,” the
Times noted that the Corcoran Gallery of Art has received $30 million
in pledges
from former AOL executives Barry Schuler and Robert W. Pittman.
Mr. Pittman has generously fulfilled his pledge to the Corcoran.
Mr. Pittman’s support of the Corcoran is unmatched and the
institution is extremely grateful for his dedication to the arts
and the Corcoran’s vision for the future.
